We're celebrating the Island's history and unique culture with a theme that is part of our history - Pirate Days.
How can you join in the fun?
- Spread the word.
- Wear your pirate garb.
- Attend the official "Opening Ceremony" on April 10: the "Birthday Party with a Pirate Flair" at Louie's Backyard on Friday night, April 11: the beach activities on Saturday morning, April 12; and the "Pirate Bazaarrrr Family Fun Festival" at Louie's Backyard parking lot on Saturday afternoon, April 12.
- Register your business as a partner in offering special discounts or promotions to Birthday Party attendees - a 10% discount, a free dessert with an entrée, a drawing for a special gift -- some special incentive for persons who visit your business wearing the celebration medallion, the birthday T-shirt, or pirate garb.
- Create a special event at your business - perhaps a special pirate menu for dinner on Saturday night or brunch Sunday morning.
- If you have photos or artifacts that depict the history of the Island, display them for residents and visitors to enjoy.
- Volunteer to tell an Island story as part the history program on Saturday, April 12.
- Sign up to be a vendor at the "Pirate Bazaarrrr" on Saturday, April 12. Sell your wares or sponsor a game booth for families to enjoy. Give your booth a pirate flair. Best decorated booth wins a prize!
- Participate as an event sponsor with a cash donation or an in-kind donation.
